HS - District Leadership Council

Want to take the next step in your FBLA journey? Apply for the District Leadership Council today to further your involvement at the local, district and state level. This council will provide you with numerous opportunities to help you grow your leadership skills while you assist the Iowa FBLA state officers.

Interested? Complete this application by September 30, 2022.


  • Executive Assistant - Prepares district meeting agendas, takes minutes, assists with district conferences/activities, and maintains ordinances in the council. Acts as a bridge between local and state leaders. 

  • Membership Director - Develop ways to promote FBLA programs (BAA and Chapter Champion), assist the District VP in the recruitment process,  assist with district conferences/activities, and maintain ordinances in the council. Helps District VP keep DLC moving smoothly.

  • Financial Coordinator - Seeks and obtains financial sponsorships for DLC and SLC,  assists with district conferences/activities, and maintains ordinances in the council.

  • District Ambassador - Uses social media and personal platforms to stay in touch with local chapters and state officers, and helps assist with networking events throughout the region.

  • District Council Kick Off Meeting - October 26, 2022, 8:00-9:00PM


  • How do I apply? Scan the QR code to answer a few questions about yourself and experience in FBLA. Once your application is submitted, it will be reviewed by the state officers.

  • What does this position entail? All of these positions will have slightly different tasks, but all will be working to support the state officer team and their districts. Councils will meet at least once a month via Zoom and will have assignments to complete between meetings. This will be a great opportunity to expand your leadership skills and get more involved at the state level. 

  • Why should you be an officer? Being on the District Leadership Council will help you develop many new skills and network with others from around the state. It can also help members get their foot in the door when it comes to being a local or state officer. On top of all of the other benefits you are also given free registration to the District Leadership Conference.
